The National Do Not Call List (DNCL) gives consumers a choice between receiving telemarketing calls or not. Consumers living in Canada can reduce the number of telemarketing calls received by registering their telephone number to the National DNCL, which sets out responsibilities for Canada’s telemarketers and their clients. Telemarketers must abide by the Unsolicited Telecommunications Rules, including registering with the National DNCL and paying to use the Do Not Call List.
OXARO administers the National Do Not Call List operation to consumers and telemarketers across the country. Through this operation, our team provides the technology solution and services to protect consumers across Canada from receiving unwanted telemarketing calls while enabling telemarketers to remain compliant with the Unsolicited Telecommunications Rules.
OXARO is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and operations of five (5) major functional components for the National DNCL, including:
Client Experience – Customer contact centre and website servicing the public and telemarketers in support of the National Do Not Call List.
OXARO Cloud – Protected B cloud compliant solution, including ISO 27001, ISO 27017, ISO 27018 and SOC 2 Type II compliance.
Management of DNCL funds – Collection of public funds through the purchase of the National DNCL and remittance of funds back to telemarketers and Public Safety Canada based on the Unsolicited Telecommunications Rules.
